Tomato Egg Noodle

Ingredients

  • 1 bag egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup meatless ground beef
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan bring water to a boil and cook pasta as directed on the packaging.
  2. In another saucepan, over medium-high heat add olive oil and sauté onion for 5 min.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, meatless ground beef, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Add cream cheese mix well to combine everything
  5. Rinse the pasta, place back in the saucepan and add the sauce. Mix well.
  6. Serve.
