This recipe is to show you how easy it is to make homemade wonton soup. It’s fast, and you can even make more wontons for future soups!

Ingredients

Wonton

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package wonton wrappers

Broth

  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh coriander

Instructions

  1. For the wonton stuffing, use a fork to crumble the tofu into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix together all wonton ingredients except wonton wrappers and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Put 1 tablespoon of stuffing into a wonton wrapper, brush the 4 edges of the wrapper with water, then pinch tightly to close into a triangle shape.
  4. For the broth, bring all broth ingredients to a boil, then add 8-10 wontons. Simmer for about 3 minutes and serve.
